Frequently Asked Questions
When an attorney's advice is needed, we find many people ask similar questions.
Your question may be similar, so perhaps these will help you.

How do I meet with Mr. Barnes?
For the convenience of our clients, and to give each person his or her undivided attention, Mr. Barnes is available during regular business hours weekdays by appointment. Weekend and weeknight appointments are also available. Call our staff and an appointment can be made promptly..

Does Mr. Barnes handle cases in other states?
Each case is unique, and requires a consultation to gather all of the facts. If necessary, referrals to attorneys in other areas can be made.

Do you charge a consultation fee?
If the consultation is for a personal injury claim, there is no charge for an initial consultation. In other cases, a small consultation fee is charged. Most initial consultations involve about 1-2 hours.

What do I bring with me to an initial consultation?
Bring all documentation, phone records, letters, e-mails, photos, bank records, receipts, agreements and any other written information related to your questions or legal matter. Mr. Barnes may ask for additional information you may not have thought of before the meeting.

If I send your firm an e-mail or fax with my questions and some information, will Mr. Barnes represent me?
A phone call, e-mail or fax does NOT mean you have entered into a client/attorney relationship, or that he will automatically represent you in court. A consultation is required and an agreement is entered into by the client and the firm. If Mr. Barnes believes your case requires another attorney in a particular area of expertise (such as workers compensation or bankruptcy) he will refer you to qualified counsel.
